What kind of cable box is needed to convert PAL signals to work with ATSC tuner (built in the TV)?

I am planning to buy a ATSC/QAM based LCD TV in US and would be planning to take to India (where analog stream works on PAL). I am told I need a cable box to convert signals? Does anybody know what kind of cable box does the needed?

  1. Either buy a multi-standard TV that supports BOTH NTSC and PAL or don't do it. Your video signal will look pretty bad with cheap converter boxes.
