  1. DVI or VGA depending on what your video card supports. If your have a high end graphics card you may be able to use HDMI

  2. That completely depends on what TV-out your system has (s-video? composite?) and what inputs your TV has (SCART?)

  3. It depends on What kind of video card is in your computer and what kind of TV you have.

I have a TV with a VGA input --- same as the computer's output, then I just get a VGA cable...

    Same is true for DVI

If I have a DVI on my computer and an HDMI on my TV, I can get an adapting cable with DVI on one end and HDMI on the other.

If I have S-video on my TV - some video cards have an S-video output. Usually this output only works if the Computer's screen is set to 800x600 or 640x480... These are usually standard definition TVs and the computer's picture looks like c**p. It may be alright for some video apps or MAYBE games, but reading webpages it out.

Composit (yellow rca) is similar to S-video on what you need, but the picture is even worse.

Otherwise... you could get a SCAN CONVERTER. This would have a VGA in on one end and then something else out, but remember You can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear and you can't make the picture better than your TV can show. S-video and composite are only good as a secondary output to watch your  you tube videos or something, but nothing where you got to read tiny text.

  4. Depends on what output your video card has.

Some shave S-Video - so you need S-Video to S-video

Some have composite out, so you need composite lead with RCA to RCA

Some TVs take in the VGA signal using a standard VGA to VGA 'D' Lead.
