Question:

What kind of caloric intake do I need for...?

I'm eating meals suggested by the Abs Diet book from Men's Health magazine. I know that if you want to really bulk up you need to exceed your normal caloric intake (eat a lot more). But I'm 24, 5'5" tall and about 145lbs. I don't want to be one of those really bulky short guys, I just want lean muscle, with nice definition. So I do want to add some muscle mass, just not a crazy amount. Should I still be eating at that increased caloric intake? How important is counting the calories you consume in a day to how you want to train your body?

  1. just eat normal or a little but more.

  2. It really depends, are you defined to start with and just trying to bulk up a little bit to add mroe muscle? Or are you not so defined and trying to get defined?

Findout your caloric intake by entering your info in here

that is to maintain you current weight, you'll wanna increase it a little, and make sure you are lifting weights to add muscle mass. Don't increase it much if you just want to tone :)

    Hope this helps =)

    Good luck, Toni Lynne
