  1. Hybrids are a waste of money. Just buy a car that is good on gas and you will save way more money. Honda's and Toyota's are overpriced so stick to American like GM. Take a look at the new Malibu. That has received great ratings.

  2. look for hybrids... they are great in gas mileage.... look into the honda hybrids...they are cheap and good foe the environment

  3. Gomer is right, sort of. The Malibu is nice & comfy, but it doesn't get the mpg's as many other cars do. Hybrids are nice too, but the technology isn't where it should be. The batteries still have to be replaced later at great expense. A moderately priced little car like a Nissan Versa or Sentra, Toyota Yaris or Corolla, Ford Focus, & Chevy Cobalt are all great little cars that are easy on the wallet from the start. All of these can be had for $16-20K depending on how many options you get. I own a Sentra myself & I am getting an overall mpg of 33 in mixed driving. On the hwy, I get 38 mpg. All of these cars are also safe & reliable. G'luck.

  4. Honda Fit (Jazz)

The Fit comes well equipped with standard power accessories, antilock brakes, and curtain air bags.

the Fit feels responsive, with a smooth and willing engine, and agile handling. Overall fuel economy is an excellent 34 mpg for the manual and 32 mpg for the automatic. The ride is a bit choppy but supple enough.  A 2009 redesign has just been introduced.
