  1. look up smart cars

  2. A good, reliable, Honda.

My honda CRX lasted from 1988 to 2003 and even with gas prices going higher and higher it never cost more then $20.00 to fill the tank.

I am a loyal honda girl for life now!!!

You should be able to find a Honda for a reasaonable price somewhere!

Now a big question... SIXTY MILE COMMUTE??? Are you insane??

Is there nothing closer then that?

WOW! I appreciate your loyalty to your company!

    Good luck!

  3. I have a 2006 Honda Civic, and it gets 40 mpg on highway, 30 mpg in city.  The Hybrid version gets 50 mpg on highway.  The non-hybrid version is around $18,000 and the hybrid version is around $23,000.  You could lease it or take out a loan to buy the car.  As for the snow, a cheap option is to get snow tires or all season ones.  They make your car run great on the snow.

  4. It depends on what you like but i would suggest a HONDA CIVIC, TOYOTA COROLLA. They last longer , they've really good mileage.

  5. A Ford Taurus. We got one 3 months ago and it does great on gas mileage compared to the Ford Windstar van we left sitting in the driveway. Our Taurus is also a V6.

We live in Ohio, so yeah, snow and ice is also an issue here too. We have a traction thingie that kicks in if we hit slush or ice, makes the wheels dig is much better. No problems so far. PLUS, your still buying AMERICAN.

  6. A used AWD Subaru or just about any front wheel drive car.

  7. well, I have the same issue but I travel about 50 miles a day, and I drive a 2001 toyota corolla, it is a very good car, and I spend, at most with the current gas prices $28 to fill it up every week, I got mine for about $6700, and it is a very dependable car. You should look into this car for that.

  8. The Right Answer>

For $7K you can get a 2001 Audi A4 Quattro

The Audi is a 4 cylinder all wheel drive.   Your gas mileage will range from 28 to 30 miles her gallon. During bad weather, the all wheel drive is going to be your best handing car ever..

Plus, the car is cool and very fun to drive. The resell value is phenomenal. They hardly ever brake down, if the do you my find paying a bit more, but if your smart you can find a good cheap mechanic. Good luck.

  9. a honda crx

  10. Older Jetta or Golf 1.9 TDI, the diesel engine is very economical and lasts forever with proper maintenance. The car is great in snow.
