What kind of car should I get for my first car?

I need to be able to tow a laser, and have room inside to put sails and mast sections. I would also like it to get better than 20 mpgs. I will be using it on boat ramps, and on mountain roads. Does anybody know of a car like that?

bmw 318ti if you can find one.  They are cool and inexpensive for a beemer and get 30 mpg.

Or you can always go with a civic or a corolla
