  1. well smart cars arent worth it.  they require premium fuel, very expensive and they only get like 36mpg.  i would say toyota corolla. my father has a 2005 and he drives about 20000 miles a year maybe more and get 35-38 mpg and still running strong.

  2. We're about to buy our son a Mercedes Smartcar. Wonderful commuter car.  http://www.smartcarofamerica.com/

  3. I drive a Volvo S40 bi-fuel which runs on either petrol or gas ( autogas). I get just over 5 mls. to the litre. for 42p.

It would have cost me £2940 for 30, 000 mls.

I think that you had better think of a hybrid such as the Honda or Lexus. However, in the USA it should be possible to have a car engineered to run on gas or liquid petroleum gas. It would halve your bills.

  5. I have a Pontiac Vibe and get 33 -40 MPG on highway . Buy one used and you will save alot . It is same as the Toyota Matrix but body is slightly different . Both cars have same engine as the Toyota Corolla but the car is a hatchback . I own A vibe and can hall all kinds of stuff in back .
