What kind of cardio shape should I be in for Boxing?

This summer I plan on doing boxing, what kind of cardio shape should I be in? How much should I run a day, 3 miles? 5 miles? More? Thanks!

  1. Running will be good. Also try ropeskipping if the weather is not good enough for running. But if you are a beginner, you will see that a boxers training gets you in shape very soon.

  4. ya need do a lot of running long distance running plus short sprints mix it up as ya need strengh and endurance, weights and skipping

    as skipping is great for foot work

    cardio mainly cause it triers ya out fighting in ring round after round lol

    strength is good too need a good solid punch and stance so strong arms n legs are very important and have fun

    also body conditioning but you will get all that at gym

    punch pads great for getting technique is all very well punching bag but a good trainer will get ya on pads with them
