  1. That's a choice. You can work as research or laboratory assistants in government or industry; enter a professional school, such as medicine, dentistry, optometry, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, or law. If you wanting something with teaching geting a master's in chem ius the best.

  2. Pretty much the same as bio...

    you can do research/development

    OR

    Go  to grad school

... teaching is also an option. Not many choices out there for us, huh?

  3. howya. i got my degree in 2001 and i went looking for any kind of job. i applied to all pharmaceutical companies in Ireland and was called to a few interviews and the majority of them told me i was under experienced so then i did a msc in analytical chemistry and then i was over qualified and under experienced so now i'm doing my phd and i suppose i'll be TOTALLY unemployable but sure what harm! i'm having a good time in college! i'm not saying that you wont get a job! i'm just having a rant!

there are lots of jobs you'd be qualified to do mostly in quality control and analysis HPLC, GC, MS and the like. drug development? i'd say if you want to develope the drugs yourself you'd need a research MSc or PhD otherwise you're talking research assistant.

For teaching (dunno where you're from) in ireland you can teach with a degree but you'd be more guaranteed a permanent position and better pay with a higher diploma.

There's the food industry, quality control again.

Forensics is all analytical chemistry. i did an interview for the forensics people over here after my masters and they were pretty interested in me with my masters but then i got offered the PhD and i decided to take that.

I'd advise you to try and do any kind of post-grad that you could if funding and personal finances allow it and if you could face more college. and i hope i didn't put you off wiht my first few sentences,  i was merely telling you my experiences.

the best of luck with the job hunt!
