  1. Well I'm an Engineer and I drive a 2007 Nissan Altima.  Of course I don't design or work on cars, I just design the roads they use.  I would probably feel different if I was a mechanical engineer.

I will say that part of the reason I chose the car I did though is because of all the new techno gadgets that I could get along with the good gas mileage and lower pricetag.  As far as engineers go, we like fun geeky techno stuff like intelligent keys with push button start and entry, bluetooth for our cell phones, fancy navigation systems, and a place to plug our Ipod into the stereo.  But we also like to be responsible, hence the good gas mileage and lower price tag.

  2. Ones they don't or rarely work on.

We car guys have a saying.

"the engineers dream is the tech's nightmare"

Any engineers disagree? I could get into a huge rant about this but I'll go have a cookie instead.
