What kind of cars seem to require the most frequent, and/or the most expensive, repairs?

any thoughts on this? About what car makes and models require the most frequent repairs?

And which models require the most costly repairs?

Mostly European.

Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Land Rover, etc...they all have very high cost of maintenance and repairs.

That would be German cars.  The more costly models require the most costly repairs.

Germans engineering goes like this: why use 3 moving parts when 80 can do the job?

i don't really know, but my friend has an Audi and it costs a fortune to repair.

British and Europeans  cars seem to be the most problematic and expensive to repair.  I would go for the well know Japanese vehicles, such as Toyota or Honda.

Insert name of any European car brand here.  Horrible, every one of them, especially VW.

Most reliable.  Toyota/Lexus and Honda/Acura.  These brands dominated all 10 of the top 10 spots in a recent Consumer Reports article about the most reliable vehicles over the life of the car.
