What kind of cat do i have?

Question

He was given to me by a friend but i have no info on his parents or where he came from. i would like to know what kind of what he is. he is 6 months old, very vocal and playful. any guesses would help. the link below shows a couple of pictures of him. isnt he a beautiful cat? thank you!

He's a mixed breed cat - sometimes called a domestic short hair - and his color is orange tabby.

Unless you bought a cat from a purebred breeder, they are almost always mixed breed cats - about 95% of cats are.

He's a very cute kitten - what a long tail!

you truly have a unique cat there.  He is BEAUTIFUL. Please keep him indoors.  The average life span for an outdoor cat is 2-4 years and inside cat is well, 15 + years.  Get him neutered it is healthier for him.  DO NOT declaw him you can but scratching posts to place around your house.  It is just like ripping our fingernails out.  If the vet does it wrong it can have devastating consequences for his whole life.  I'm not sure what kind he is, but he is georgous!!! Have fun w/ him.

you've got an orange tabby. also called a marmalade tabby. either case, it's a tabby.
