I recently purchased a 8 ft. diameter by 30 in. deep pool for my children, I need to know what chemicals to put in it and how much to put in. Any advice would be helpful .They've only swam in it once (we've only had it for a week) and as it is right now (green and cloudy) they cant swim in it.

  2. Your pool is approx. 750 gallons if filled 6in. below the top. With such a small pool I would suggest using regular unscented 6% clorox bleach as your chlorine source. It is perfectly safe to use and has the same active ingredient as chlorinating liquid (sodium hypochlorite) only chlorinating liquid is 12%. I dont know if you have an attached pump and filter to circulate and clean the water. If not I would suggest draining it and refilling. Then add about 5oz of bleach a day to keep the water sanitized. If you do have a pump and filter add 1/4 gallon of bleach and let the filter run. When the water clears move to the 5oz a day. You need to get a test kit to test the water's chemistry to make sure it is safe. FC should be between 3-5ppm and pH should be between 7.2-7.6.
