What kind of clothes should I wear in London in June to be comfortable?

I live in Florida, I am used to it being 90 by now and I am concerned about the temperature difference... but I don't want to look like I am dressing for winter either! (Not that they sell actual winter clothes this far south)

Suggestions?

  1. You wont be needing a scarf but the weather's not too good right now so I'd suggest layers. Sometimes it can be T-shirt weather but other times you'll need to throw a jumper or jacket on top. An umbrella is also a good idea :)

  2. Well, it's definitely not cold in London in June, but it's not what you're used to in Florida, either. It'll be about 70-80 degrees, though (what with the warming trends), which is pretty darn hot in my book! I'd still wear t-shirts, shorts, etc... or pants & a 3/4 length shirt, if you feel you'd be more comfortable in something like that.

You can expect temperatures of 70 - 85 in London during June.  You won't need winter clothes, but a portable umbrella is advisable.

Have you ever watched Wimbledon? It starts in June.

    Here's this weeks forecast ...

  4. At the rate things are going, a waterproof and windproof tent seems the ideal choice! The theory of course is that June is a moderate month - quite a lot of sunshine with temperatures that are comfortable without causing heat exhaustion and just a little light rain at times. Unfortunately the practice is usually somewhat different ! ! !

  5. I've had weeks in June in which it was a sweater and a rain jacket with highs of 55f, only to end the week with a high approaching 80f.  It can be really quite random.

My advice is to check the forecasts online up until the night before you leave and plan accordingly.  Remember the high temperature is usually in the sun in the middle of some park, not on some city street walking in the shadows of buildings (i.e. a bit colder than advertised, especially if raining).

  6. I live in London & your guess is as good as mine! Today for example is muggy & wet! The temp is alright but i wouldnt leave without an umberella!

I suggest Jeans & some tops. Make sure you have a jacket as our weather is VERY UNPREDICTABLE!! Make sure you have an umberella. If you get here & we have a heat wave then you can always go to Primark on Oxford Street. They sell clothes that are sooooo cheap! You wont mind spending the money when you're picking up a top for £2! Good luck!♥ღ♥

  7. A raincoat, scarf, wooly jumper ,warm trousers, thick socks, comfortable shoes and woolen gloves

we've already had summer in the UK so it's winter now until about May next year.

  8. The weather is so temperamental here, you can't really use the weather forecast because the weather is likely to be different. Here I just pick clothes on the day based on what it looks like outside. In June the weather can be so different day to day. One day shorts and t-shirt is perfect other days the rain just won't stop and the weather can change during the day too. I just say be prepared for anything. You won't need a thick coat just one for rain. Then bring a variety of clothes cos you just don't know how its gonna end up.

  9. cotton shorts & tee's!

  10. erm yeah it'll obviously be cooler than florida but june will be temperamental i think. you won't need scarves etc lol. just jumper and the occassional jacket. but there'll also be days when you'll need t shirts and dresses. i'd bring more summery clothes than wrap up clothes tbh.

Hope you have a lovely time whilst you are here [:
