  1. One had to determine which factors come into play before a club is selected. If you are 10 to15 ft. in front of the green and 35 to 45 feet more from the edge of the green to the pin, with a wide open front, all fairway Use a pitch and run with a 6,7 or 8 iron which will hit the green and run out to the hole. If you are 10-15 ft in front of the green, in the rough with a good lie( ball standing up a bit) with the same distance to the pin, you use a more lofted club like the pitching wedge or sand wedge. play the ball in the middle of  the stance, open the club face slightly and slip the club face under the ball with a moderately hard swing to elevate the ball so it will land softly; on the green and stop; if you are playing from a fairway lie and must clear a bunker  close the club face a bit on the pitching or sand wedge, swing so that you hit the botton 1/3 or 1/4 of the ball to get it airborn with a full follow through and moderate swing so that the ball will elevate and stop within a reasonable distance from the hole. All of these are performed with a slightly open stance.

  2. I would use either 7 or 8 iron and pitch and run.If you like getting height on the ball use your sand wedge or pitching wedge.if still not confident use your putter if the fairway is not too rough i use these methods.Try hitting 7 or 8 iron's like putting stlye. It still comes down to practice which ever club you use.Hope we all could help

  3. Uh, thats quite the question.  I mean, it all depends your lie, pin location, green undulation, etc, etc.  I guess in general you've got two choices-bump&run or chip it.  Personally I prefer chipping and for sake of saving my fingers the work of typing it all out I'll just link you to a great video on showing you how.

    Good luck!

  4. Club or shot really relies solely on the situation. Tihs may help you a lot however... Make it more reactionary. Take a look at your target. For a bump and run this is a target far short of the hole and will roll to it once it lands. Now take a look at where you want it to land. Now take a look at your ball. Address your ball. Take another look at the target. Now look at your ball. Make sure you are going to contact that ball cleanly. Now look at the target again. Look at the ball and FIRE! It really should be a reaction to the target. As if it's a bird trying to eat your lunch and you've gotta hit it dead on to make it go away. It has to be quick and with proper planning but not much thought once you go to execute. You don't have time to think you just have to do. You don't have time to get tense you just have to make it happen. React to your target and a lot of shots around the green will feel a little more effortless.

  5. Take more club, bub!?!?!
