What was the price? Do you like it? Is a simple one best, or are a lot of bells n whistles useful, really? What are your suggestions, as I'm about to buy a new one next week.

  1. Mine was $10.00 I have a habit of breaking the carafe, LOL

Brand is Procter Silex and it makes coffee Good enough for this household, LOL

  2. I have a Cuisinart Grind and Brew Station 10 cup coffee maker.  It will grind your beans for you or it has a setting if you want to use pre-ground coffee beans.  I like it because it's stainless steel and the carafe keeps the coffee hot much longer than any other coffee maker I've seen.  You can set it to brew a pot anytime you want.  You can find this particular coffee maker on sale at Belk or Bed Bath and Beyond sometimes for $150.  I've had it three years now with no problems.

  3. We have a basic drip coffee maker by Braun.  It doesn't have any bell or whistles, just your basic coffee maker and I like it.  I don't really care for a lot of the extras as I don't need anymore clocks in my kitchen - I have one on the stove and the microwave and I don't like my water to sit over night waiting to be brewed, I think the coffee tastes better when the water is cold and fresh so I don't like having a timer on it either.  We have had it for over two years now and it gets used every day, several times a day and it cost less then $20.00 at IKEA.

  4. mine costed 12,99 i hate coffee though

  5. I have several.  The one I use multi-times a day is my DeLonghi Magnifico 3300 espresso machine, which my husband and I truly LOVE!  It has a bean reservoir, and grinds fresh for each cup;  a water reservoir (so you just need to push a button to start it);  a ground reservoir (so you don't need to empty after each cup);  a frother;  dials for strength and size of cup.... but it will run between $800-$1500  (WELL worth it! ... also one of the highest rated espresso machines!)......**  For a "regular" coffee pot, I have a Cuisinart which brews into a thermal pot.  It makes excellent coffee!  I highly recommend it!  I think it's about $75-100  **  I also have a French Press, which I don't like at all..... ** and we have a TODDY SYSTEM, which I've used for 30 years.  You make 1 lb. of coffee concentrate and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.  You add a jigger of coffee to hot water for the cleanest, freshest coffee you've ever had!  The filters take out 95% of the caffeine AND the acid (which is what bothers most people).  It's about $30-35 for the entire system, including storage jar, filters, container for the beans to soak in.......   We use the concentrate to make Iced Lattes with;  and it's great for guests who want lower caffeine coffee, and everyone can adjust the strength to their liking.  Also, you make as many cups as you want, and nothing is sitting on a burner.  THIS is really a wonderful system, and you should search COFFEE TODDY SYSTEM on-line! .....  I don't consider any of these to have "bells & whistles" since I don't use clocks, timers or what-have-you.......
