I would like to purchase a macbook, because its less prone to viruses, and it has some features that don't need me to buy other hardware ( network card for example). But im having second thoughts about going back to a PC...

  1. For business, I don't think you need anything TOO powerful or flashy... just a simple laptop that is light, portable, durable and powerful enough to run basic software. You don't see too many business majors lugging around 17-inch gaming systems... Anyways, I've never had any experience with Macbooks, so I don't have an opinion on them, but if you think it will handle daily usage, go for it. Also, make sure that the macbook can support the various business software available on PC. I've always liked the Lenovo systems, since they are powerful, portable and durable.

On a side note, think of the exterior as well... if you are planning on using the laptop for your entire 4 years in university, you might be using the laptop in actual business situations, ie. in the office, in business meetings, etc. It would be a little bit embarrassing if everyone had a simple black laptop and yours had bright colours and graphics on it. It certainly won't be a career killer, but just something to think about... in business, appearance is key.
