Okay, I used to know a little about computers, but now not so much. I am needing to buy a new laptop. What do I need to look for in one these days as far as memory space, hard-drive, etc. I will be using this computer for a little bit of everything, school work, and for downloading music, videos, and loads of pictures. I need something with lots of memory so that I can put around 10,000 songs and it not mess with my speed. What brands are good? I wanna stay under $1000 if possible. Anyone that has any suggestions or links to computers that I could take a look at, would be so greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

  1. If its a good all round laptop you want then you want a MacBook Pro, they are great bits of kit, high spec and will last you a few years. I know its a bit over the $1000 mark but trust me they are worth it! www.apple.com take a look in the store at the MacBook Pro.

MacBook's are OK but smaller and not as powerfull plus they do get harddrive problems. Dont bother with the MacBook Air, it may seem nice but after a while it wont seem very nice.

  2. This is what you want:

  3. You'll definitely want a Mac. MacBooks are generally priced at $1099 USD. They are actually more portable than the MacBook Pro, which is slightly heavier. If you want easy typing, buy the Pro. The keys are not separate, like the MacBook's.

  4. yeah definately a mac!!! Probably a just the ordinary macbook would be best for your needs, and if you like it in white (like me) then its actually cheaper than the exact same model in black, just a tip!

apple make d**n fine computers...    =)

  5. Try www.HP.com they make good computers. or get better deals at circuitcity or if your desperate bestbuy. make sure you do some research abou computers b4 gettin em.
