What kind of crab do i have?

The body is about 2 inches and with the legs its about 5 inches. He was in my pool while I was swimming. It has an oval body and its a greenish color with like a purple on the perimeter of the body. Its eyes are also sticking out of his head! Also, what should I do to care for him because I am keeping him as a pet for awhile haha

im guessing you must live near an estuary or body of saltwater since it wa sin your pool. i would suggest releasing it into one of the above since you dont know what species it is, and as such you wont be able to care for it well enough as it could care for itself in the wild.

and without a picture its difficult to decide what species it is
