I was at Fall River Lake in Kansas, and I witnessed a strange looking animal swimming by. It's body was slightly smaller than a quarter around, oval, and black in color. It had greenish tentacles (not sure how many, it was fast-moving) that were about 1 3/4 inches long. It was swimming along the surface of the water and then disappeared once it reached the edge of my raft. I found the freakish apprearance of this creature to be a little disturbing and would not be pleased to encounter one any larger. Any ideas?

  1. sounds like a tadpole to me =D

  2. Sounds like a "water-dog", also called mud puppies. They are large salamanders (4-8 inches long when mature). Fishermen love to use them for bait.

  3. it was prolly a freakin bullfrog tadpole with it's leg and "arm" buds growing in.
