which is equal to about 1.35 US.

  2. It uses bank notes and coins like the rest of the world. It's currency is called the New Zealand Dollar. It is a decimal system with 1 dollar = 100 cents. There are no 1, 2 or (As of today, 3/8/06) 5 cent coins . Cash transactions are now rounded to the nearest 10 cents. Electronic transactions are not rounded. This is a very common system and is also used in Australia and other places.
