Question:

What kind of dancing should i do?

i want to do something that will get me fit, since i'm like 5'6 and like 150 pounds(ewwwww) and get my tummy flat and build muscle, preferably. something that is like cool, like break dancing or hip hop but has feminin appeal i guess any ideas?

  1. Ballet. It may be difficult to master and takes lots of patience but it is definetly worth while. Boys and girls who study ballet develop strong lean and flexible bodies, spacial and temporal awareness, and improve their coordination. A proved scientific, long-term bonus is that, it has been shown that boys and girls retain the flexibility brought about by ballet throughout their adult lives. Ballet technique is considered to be the basis of training for all types of dance.

    I started ballet when i was 3 and right now i am in great shape.  Ballet has also helped me improve in other sports like track. My muscles are strong and lean and I am very flexible.


  2. Yeah there aren't many girl break dancers, so I'd go with hip hop.

  3. dude i am the same body type, just an inch and a half taller. its all muscle tho, and i dance a lot of hip hop and belly dancing...

    my friend just started belly dancing and she says its soooo much fun and burns a lot.

    heres a tip for weightloss: eat edamame with soy sauce [edamame being soy beans]. i know a girl who lost bigtime weight by eating only edamame for like a month. also try drinking a lot of water and running at least 5 miles a week.

    makes a huuuge difference

  4. Latin dance, burlesque and/or modern ballet would be fun and tone you up in a hurry

  5. i took an adult hip hop class and it was REALLY fun!!! :) and I always left sweating!

  6. ballet is really good exercise. you also gain grace and balance. it might not be "cool" now but you will regret not doing it later

  7. ballroom dancing is a great for building muscle and strength. You can also get fit when u do ballroom, especially when you competitions and lots of practice.

    Break dancing's extremely challenging and physically demanding, so start with hip hop.

  11. Honestly, pole dancing classes are really popular because they work alot of muscles in the body. It has become a common exercise among housewives and younger women because it allows you feel s**y and to work out in the process. Just an option.
