What kind of degree do you need to work with CPS?

I wanna work for cps "child protective services" but what kind of degree do i need for that? does it take collage or classes or special training or what?

  1. my state requires a 4 year related degree-like socialogy,psychology.....you can just call and ask---or look on a state employment website--my state lists qualifications for each position

Most want a bachelor's degree.  A lot of people who work for CPS have degrees in social work.  Other degrees are accepted, but I think it's easier to 'climb the ranks' if your degree is in social work and you get licensed.  This degree will also help you understand how to work in agencies, which is not the type of education you'd get as a psychology major or something else.

  3. Hey. Well there is alot of jobs cps offers i also want to work for cps and im getting a bachelors in Social Work and im minoring in Psychology. For most jobs working with children now days u need some type of degree relating to psychology because they have so many problems. But umm u should look up degrees that relating to family and such! Sorry i couldnt be more help ur question caught my eye cuz thats totally wat i want to do:)
