OK...Here's the real deal...DO NOT....I repeat...DO NOT get a Broadcast Degree or RTF Degree. That is the worst thing you can do with the cut backs in media. I know...I work all in it. The only thing that matters is that you have experience. Start interning and working at a station NOW. The rewards will follow. Stations look for experience not degrees. For example, my boss is a Program Manager and has no degree at all, but he's worked in radio his entire life. He had parents in radio and got into the industry and stuck with it. I would say get a degree in Communication, Marketing, Political Science, or Psychology...these are fields related to broadcating and such. I would even say that with the change in technology that Computer Science would be another good field to go into. But more than anything, ya gotta get into the station and get the experience. I hope this helps!
