  1. The quickest you can get through college and medical school is with one of the few 6 year programs.  So theoretically you can become a doctor under 8 years, but you can't be a practicing one.  You still need at least a 3 year internship/residency.  So in 9 years you could become a practicing doctor in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.  However, you are expected to constantly study to keep your knowledge up to date.

  2. LOL, a VA doctor :) I am a dissabled vet and I swear all the doctors there are either failures from Med school or they got there degree in cooking. Chances are if yo have a MA you can become a surgon in the VA just let me know so I dont choose you as a primary care :)

  3. f yyou do nothing but work on being a doctor, whatever kind you can get your undergraduat time down to two and one half to three years , then in medical school you will have to go accrding to their guidelines .

so you can , but it's extremely hard cut off 1 - 1 1/2 years

  4. You can't be an MD with less than 8 years of college.

You can enter Chiropractic school after 2 years of college and take the other 2 years to get your BS at the same time you're going to Chiropractic school, so that you can get out of college in 6 years.  A chiropractor makes between $45,000 and $70,000 as a salaried employee and up to $102,000 if self employed.

Anything worth having is worth waiting for -- 8 years isn't really long.

  5. Trust me, go to nursing school.  It is so much more rewarding, you make a great living, you can work anywhere, and there are so many opportunities.  I work as a CNA now in an ER and I plan to apply to college to become a trauma/ER nurse.

  6. Nope.

Pick another career.  We never stop learning.  We have to get continuing medical education to maintain our licenses.  It never ends.

Physicians are very driven people.  If you don't have that drive, you'll never make it into medical school, much less get through it.

Try nursing.  That requires only 4 years of college to become an RN.
