What kind of documents does a non-US citizen need to show for a domestic flight, if he lost his passport?

I have a friend who lost his passport and needs to fly to another city in USA to get one. What kind of document, ID can he show?

  1. For a domestic flight, any government issued photo ID will suffice, such as a drivers license.


  2. If he has a US issued Drivers license or ID card he can use that.  Otherwise he will have to get a replacement passport issued by his native countries embassy here in the USA.
