What kind of documets could I use to prove my Mother is locked up?

This is a requirement for school because she is unable to sign my finacial aid form so they need some kind of proof that she is actually locked up and i can become an independent student for finacial aid

Go to the cop shop and get an affidavit

Some state prison systems allow on line access to view those incarcerated along with other info like dates up for probation and release dates.  You might be able to access something like this and print out the information that comes up.
