  1. Its quite hard to tell i think it'll be an American Cocker Spaniel, but you might have to wait until its a bit older to find out. I might message again if i get a clearer idea! Is it called carmel? or something like that.

  2. Looks American. English have different shaped face and very curly hair. Americans have mainly wavy like hair. Americans also usually have finer/silkier hair than English who normally have coarse hair. Americans normally have longer floppier ears. Can be very hard to tell with breed mixing pictures flying around everywhere.

  3. If she is AKC registered, the breed will be given on the papers. Hard to tell from the photos but she looks to be buff coloured which is more common in an American Cocker.

She looks a little sweetie anyway.

  4. hmm it's very tough to tell.

i'm guessing american cocker spaniel, but it could easily be the other too.

i looked extremely carefully at pictures of both breeds and the american cocker spaniel puppies look a bit closer like the puppy than english cocker spaniels.

i'm not an expert tho i truly have no idea, but that's my guess based on pictures of other spaniels.  The faces of the American cocker spaniels match up slightly better with the pictures you have.

From what I can tell from the pictures you posted it looks like a buff (color) American Cocker.

The pedigree will provide the family tree, the registration tells you the breed that is being registered.

Sounds like the lady is a byb of unregistered Cockers and simply doesn't have either parents registered so she can't offer the registration or pedigree.  This could mean that your pup might not be purebred English or American Cocker.

She's cute.  I hope she gives you and your grandmother many years of joy.

  6. it looks american to me, based mostly on the color and shape of the head.  can you get back into contact with the breeder?  they should be able to tell you, or take her to a vet they may be able to help.  Also if you get a good look at the mother or a picture of her that would probably help narrow it down some more.

  7. Just look at her papers it will tell you there

  8. i think english i looked at pictures of both kinds and your dog looks more english.

    and she's adorable!

    =]

  9. Wouldn't the breeder that you bought the pup from be able to answer this?

  10. um sorry to break it to you but if she was AKC you\d goten a pedigree that had her breed listed

i think you been ripped off, i hope you didnt pay a lot of money for this dog

but i think she is of the american strain if you ask me

nods sorry to break it to you though without papers from akc to prove her purity there is no knowing, but what does it mather...and if you had her to the vet making sure she is healthy then hopefully whatever background she had wont mather to much now she is in a loving home

  11. Here is an Am.Cocker puppy.

    And an Eng.Cocker pup.

I think she is perhaps leaning more towards an American Cocker. But I personally think she is a mix between the Eng. & Am.

If you didn't get papers, there is no certainty that your dog is purebred. Or perhaps, your dog just may be really badly bred.

What kind of place did you get her from?
