  3. Get a poodle. I have a white miniature poodle and OMG they are SO sweet. And my dog has even been through alot. He had to go in a car ride all the way from fort worth Texas to Slidell Louisiana.

They are super comforting, they dont need to much exercise, but when you do give them exercise, they LOVE it! If your wanting a medium to small i would say a miniature or toy. If you have young siblings that live with you dont get a toy or teacup, they can be stepped on easily. A miniature is great if or if not you have have siblings. Trust me, I have one. They are hyper when you are, and when they can tell you want them to be, and they are calm when you are and when you want them to be. And they are the smartest dog breed in the world. That's a fact. They are also the cutest. Well thats my opinion. Here is an article from the AKC about poodles.

The Poodle, though often equated to the beauty with no brains, is exceptionally smart, active and excels in obedience training. He is also the only breed that comes in three size varieties. This size choice may be why the Poodle is one of the most popular breeds according to AKC® Registration Statistics. Poodles can be a variety of solid colors, including white, black, apricot and gray, but never parti-colored.

    A Look Back

The breed originated in Germany as a water retriever. The stylish "Poodle clip" was designed by hunters to help the dogs move through the water more efficiently. The patches of hair left on the body are meant to protect vital organs and joints which are susceptible to cold. The Standard variety is the oldest of the three varieties. The Miniature variety may have been used for truffle hunting. The Toy Poodle was often used in performances and circuses.

The Poodle can accommodate nearly any size living quarters. They are hypoallergenic, which means they dont shed at all. They don't require much grooming unless  you dont brush them once a week and they get mats, then you will have to brush them alot to get it out.

The Miniature Poodle is 15 inches or under at the highest point of the shoulders, with a minimum height in excess of 10 inches.

The Toy Poodle is 10 inches or under at the highest point of the shoulders.

  4. Try this: http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/search.htm

It's a quiz/test that will find a suitable breed for you.

    Hope that helps! =]

  5. I suggest a purebred because if you get a mixed dog there's 50/50 chance of size.

    Chihuahua's

    Mini Poodles

    Yorkie's

    Pomeranian

    Bichon Frise

Great style dogs, cute, small and mellow easy-2-take-care of dogs. Chi's are yappy though. Most of these dogs require high grooming needs (except Chi) and studies suggest smaller dogs have more dental problems than others. Also, remember that these dogs aren't energetic.

  6. I would suggest going down to and animal shelter or rescue but if you want a pure bred from a breeder take this quiz by pedigree for help

    and remember... no pet shops

  7. well i hav 2 puppies and they will grow to be about 125-20 pounds and about as big as a big cat or weiner dog size. their breed is a mix-bichon border terrier and doxend mix and they r so cute i will show u a pick of what they sorta look like....http://breederinfocenter.com/images2/200...

so ya thi is what their mom looks likehttp://www.gotpetsonline.com/pictures-ga...

and this is what the dad looked likehttp://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en...

  8. Get a Shih Poo. It is a shitzu/poodle cross. I am 16 and worked all last summer and then I bought him. His hair doesn't shed but he needs to get groomed every once in a while. But my mom said it is worth it to get him groomed instead of him shedding hair all over the house.

    This is him.

He is full grown now and weighs about 15 pounds. So he isn't too small, but is small enough so you can pick him up.
