What kind of dogs do you think we have?

This is Severus and Skip. Severus is the big one, we know his mom is a German Shorthaired Pointer, he weighs 85lbs and is 17 months old. Skip is the little one, he is a puppy, probably about two months old but not sure about that. What breed(s) do you think they are?

I am no expert on breeds by no means, but the last time I saw a dog as big as Severus she was a Great Dane.  You kind of see it in the face too.  Skip is so cute and looks like a yellow lab puppy.  It is in the ears.  How sweet they look together!!

If you really, really want to know for sure what breed they are, Petco offers DNA testing on mixed breed dogs.  It is resonable considering how much DNA testing for dogs is.  The test costs approx. 70.00-120.00 depending on how broad of a search you want to do.  I am considering having my lab mix tested to see what all he is.  We are sure about the lab, we think some pit, and possibly chow somewhere in there.  But it would still be fun to know for sure.

The big one..Severus i think is part chocolate lab, while ship looks like a full blown yellow lab....

I think that Severus has coonhound in him.  Skip looks like a yellow lab.

The puppy has wire hair? Maybe some terrier. Both look like labs.

Severus reminds me of a chocolate lab (so beautiful) and Skip of a yellow lab/ golden retriever (so cute).

They both look like they have some Labrador in them. Skip could be part Golden or part Yellow lab. Severus could be part black lab.

Severus looks 100% GSP. They come in all liver like that sometimes. Since his Mom was one, I don't see why Dad couldn't be too.

Skip, to me, looks like a labradoodle. first generation crosses- labrador and poodle, often get that wirey coat that skip has. -Neb
