  1. Let her pick her own dress, this will give it more meaning to her. I can still remember when I was little my mom got me some new underware for kindergarten and made such a fuss about it, that I am now writing you!

  2. I would do a cute sundress with a little more added decoration than usual to mark it as a special occasion.

  3. I would do a sund dress.  It is probably going to be hot and it is only pre-school.  I think a poofy dress would be a little too much for this occasion.

  4. Just a sunday dress I guess.

(begin rant) Personally, the whole "graduation" thing is ridiculous to me.  It's for the parents, not the kids.  Graduation is for high-school and college, not pre-k or kindergarten.  Here's my rule: if you can't spell "graduating", you shouldn't be graduating. (end rant)

  5. I would let her decide after all it is her big day.

  6. I consider myself to be a seasoned veteran in this matter. One it depend on what type of school your child goes to. If its ghetto fabulous well you your going to have to dress her up. If its upper middle class. A dressy sundress will do. Also talk to some of the other moms and get an idea of what they are going to put on their little girls. After all you want yours to look the best.

  7. Just something simple... not a whole lot of frills. You don't want something too puffy underneath. But she IS 5, so it doesn't really matter what type of dress. Oh, and depending on the color of the gown, you'd want a color that won't show.. like for example, if it was a white gown, you don't want her wearing a red dress because it'll show through. But if the gown is of a darker color.. no worries.

  8. Just a simple dress will be fine. Nothing fancy.

  9. A sun dress, white with small flowers is fine so it won't look awkward under the gown. If it's another color, or has a big pattern it will show though a lot.

  10. I would make it just as fancy as she wants it... she's only going to graduate from PreK once and the pictures will be fantastic!!

  11. I would think a sundress would be more comfortable and then you don't have to worry as much either if she is playing in it afterwards and gets something on it accidentally.  I would let her give her opinion in this matter though also and she want she wants to do after all they only graduate from pre-k once.

When my son graduated last year from pre-k we had put a nice pair of pants and a nice shirt on him till all the pictures were done and then he had the option to change into shorts and a comfortable shirt that he liked to have his party afterward.
