  1. You should wear something simple but formal. You don't want a fancy floor length dress that outshines the bride. Go for something that is mid length, and stay away from white and black. At a summer wedding spagetti straps are a good choice, in winter you'll want a jacket or wrap to keep with the season. Keep it about knee length, not too much shorter, or you'll look like you're going to a club instead of a wedding.

    Here are some good styles:

  3. hi Fran

Depends on the time of day of the wedding.  If it is an afternoon wedding something street length that you might wear for a tea would be most appropriate.  However, if it is late afternoon or early evening, then I would suggest dressing up a bit more and wearing something you would wear to a cocktail party.  Wear something age appropriate and also something subtle so that you don't stick out.  Never wear white as that is the bride's colour.  You can always dress up or down with jewelery.  Just don't over do, and wear appropriate shoes and of course hose.  Nothing looks worse than bare legs at a formal event.

    Have fun.

  4. a cute/dressy sundress
