What kind of drug was this????!!!???

Ok so I met this wicked sketchy chick last night, who used to be a friend of a friend of mine. I knew something was wrong as soon as she said she couldn't see any signs on the highway. How do you not see any signs on the highway?!?

Anyhoo long story short, she said she had some weed. My friend asked to see it and she looked around, checked her pockets, and then changed the subject. After we got blunts I asked to see it and it was dark brown, all ground up, and reeked of icy hot.

I know that was definitely not marijuana but what the **** could that be? I have no idea, but I was like ... there's no way I'm smoking this.

It could have been some of the "Legal weed substitute" which scam sites sell to those who don't know a thing about plants and how THC is produced in the captitate stalks of Cannabis plants leaves and buds.

[Their spiel is quite convincing unless you do know otherwise.]

This has a brown colour and when taken from the packaging and dries out more it turns to a coarse dust with handling.

All you'd have got is a sore throat if it was that, the plant matter used is not psychoactive as sold, some of what they use when fresh and in greater quantities, prepared as a decoction, will have effect but not when smoked in the manner it's sold.

That detritus is just a scam.

However, plenty of weed can be brown when cured, Malawi gold, for instance, is one of the most potent Sativas out there and when cured traditionally it is a dark greenish brown and of course, the drier it gets the more it will crumble to dust with handling.

Some cheaper African or Mexican "commercial" grade weed is quite brownish and some of that can be quite potent as well, just average potency is nice but mildish.

So, you may have missed out on a great, well cured smoke or you could have spared yourself a sore throat for a few days and a headache.

It's hard to tell without actually seeing what it was with my own eyes and feelers.

Stay away from "wicked sketchy chicks".  Don't go to bars to meet women.  Go to grocery stores.  If you see one you like introduce yourself and honestly say something nice.  You'll know in a few seconds if she is interested in you.  You can take it from there.
