This is not a DIY task. Among other things, you usually inject it with R-22. You cannot legally purchase R-22 in the US. I don't know about other countries, but I would guess many others also restrict it.

There are a couple on the market.Some require a florescent lightYou can buy it at Johnstone Supply or Insco.It's nasty though.I don't like it or reccomend the use of it.It will stay in a system forever and foul up a good set of gauges.

A good quality leak detector and soap bubbles are still the best way to locate a leak.

And when you find the leak how do you plan on repairing it, you will need the following tools, recovery equipment and tank, torches, silver braze, vacuum pump, and much more you are better off calling somebody who is trained.
