What kind of educational backround do i need to own a dance studio?

I know i would need to know how to dance..etc..but would i need a buisness degree..or small buisness degree..or something else i dont know about?

  1. I suppose you need to be at least a dancer, with good dancing skills in at least one specific area (eg. ballet/contemporary/hiphop/ballroom/etc)

    And education wise, the more the better for communication.

    You need to be able to communicate well with students and their parents and your staffs.

    Have good management skills as well.

You need to learn about small business practises - marketing and sales, basic accounting, business plans for financing, staffing/human resources etc.  But you do not need to get a degree.  You can learn about these things at community small business centres etc.  A lot of communities and local governments have learning tools, free training and support for people who want to start their own business.  There is a lot of information online but it is best to find things in your local area so you can get personal attention and maybe even help with financing.
