  1. Well, with the increase of global temperature, then the hot air from Congress will have less and less of an effect, until nobody listens to Congress any more.

  2. Eighty percent of the world's population lives within fifty miles of an ocean coast.  As the water rises, people are forced to migrate toward higher ground.  Areas most affected would be the Eastern seaboard and the southern coast.  The Eastern sea board could be under 10-20 feet of water.  more

  3. would it?

    it already has!

    hello?

    2000 presidential election

all that stuff bush said about Al Gore

Al Gore wouldve changed our planet

  4. Global warming is completely political.

  5. aaronesque, the exact same argument can be made against the left.  Newsflash, Algore is not a scientist (although he did invent the internet after staying at a Holiday Inn Express the night before).  The left is known for its disdain for big business and is pushing to raise taxes immensely on big businesses so they can fund all of their social programs like welfare, universal health care, etc.

On top of that, aaronesque, I don't think you fully comprehend what you just said.  To truly make a dent in emmissions, it will cost trillions of dollars.  TRILLIONS!  I don't know if you realize it, but that is a lot of money.  Who do you think will pay for that?  Do you think it is going to be Exxon?  No, it is going to be you and me through $8 gas.  The U.N. has been floating the idea that they will be able to tax world citizens to help pay for it.  Let me translate that for you.  U.S. citizens will be expected to pay the lion's share of the taxes just like the U.S. pays the lion's share of the U.N. dues currently.

  6. Currently, the loudest voices are right wing political pundits who are not scientists who side with the fringe in order to obscure public knowledge about global warming. Their big fear is that government will implement rules which will hurt corporations by limiting their output of pollutants. They are so afraid of this that they are willing to misrepresent the science and side with a small minority view to put it off for as long as they can. Remember when some "experts" believed that smoking wasn't harmful? Same c**p different day.
