What kind of electric motors contain the most copper for recycling? Is there a better source ?

I can't haul much in my small vehicle, but I want to help a local org. raise funds.

Any big AC motor or generator should contain quite a bit of copper wire, it is going to be a lot of work for not all that much copper. Big transformers might be a better source. In most cases the transformer or motor will be worth much more then the copper it contains.

Large power alternators and motors , power transformers will have large copper for recycling.
