I love cars and I hope to major something with cars involved.

- Is it really a good major for the future? As CO2 emissions, restrictions, etc. etc.

- How much do the most successfull make?

Thanks.

  1. There are schools that offer automotive engineering programs.  It is an excellent major for the future since the automotive industry isn't going to disappear any time soon, but it is in the midst of dynamic change, going green and all that.  Just be sure that the program you choose covers the future trends in the industry.  Some schools also offer internships with some of the big automakers.  Also remember that you'll only use a minimum of what you learn in school and that engineering as a profession is one where you are constantly learning and adapting.  Other relevant programs are mechanical, electrical and chemical engineering, but automotive will be the most comprehensive.  If you have a greater interest in the other programs, you should take them since you can always get a job in the automotive industry with pretty much any of these degrees.  The most successful could easily earn six figures, but success of course comes with experience.
