A few days ago our family found a tutle in our back yard, assuming its a japanese pond turtle. We thought about putting it back where it was, but we found part of it's shell is partly broken, and it's left eye is sort of busted, practically blind. We want to give it the best house possible. The turtle isn't very big; probably still a child. If anyone knows, please give me some advice.

  1. Just about every turtle I've seen here in Japan is a baby Red Eared Slider, so I presume that is the kind of turtle you mean?

This is a great site with lots of information about looking after them: http://www.turtlesite.info/basic-informa...

The site also has a lot of information about other breeds of turtle if yours is not a Slider. Good luck!
