  1. Indian and Chinese are very popular in Auckland, I tried several Indian restaurants there and was very satisfied good quality and reasonable prices.

  2. Auckland itself is ethnic to me

  3. why dont you go there and see for yourself

  4. White Bait

  5. Indian is very popular, as is Thai. Yum Cha for lunch at Chinese restaurants is great and a lot of young people enjoy it. Japanese is popular too, and there are some fantastic teppanyaki and yakitori restaurants in Auckland. There is a bit of everything else around, just as there is in Australia.

  6. lamb

  7. young new zealanders are pretty adventurous with their restaurants - you'll probably find that thai, turkish, indian, chinese, italian, american, japanese, spanish, malaysian and south american are all as popular as each other.  the only problem with auckland is getting to places - it's way too spread out. wellington's much better for eating out / saturday night.

  8. Auckland is THE multicultural core of New Zealand.

There are things I could eat in restaruants there, that I have had trouble finding in the actual native countries.

I was living downtown in Auckland, and we would have something different every night. Most usually Korean and Japanese though.

For special occasions we would head upto Sawadee on Ponsonby Road, Yum char at Sunshine for lunch.

Depending on what style of Japanese and Korean food we wanted would depend where we went.

Drunken nights usually ended in Kebabs.

Vietnamese for something light... the list is endless!

If you need some recommendations, message me. However I havent been there for a year.

  9. umm.....Lebanese? Mid Eastern.....maybe Indian?
