What kind of evidence is there to prove that abortion should be legal in the US?

I'm doing a pro-abortion debate and although I've done research, I want to know if there would be anything else that I'm missing. So far, I have these topics:

Women's Rights (including amendments, laws, etc.)

Back-Alley Abortions

Personal, Health and Emotional Information (i.e. rape statistics, etc.)

Adoption-related information (including Neglection, Child Abuse, Statistics, etc.)

The fetus is not a human/person information

Economic Issues (like population control, etc.)

Tell me if I'm missing anything that might be used against me. Thanks.

  1. do u mean illegal? because isnt abortion already legal?

  2. Food and water shortages - See current international food problems due to increase in gas alone

Use some international examples where abortion isn't allowed. Brazil estimates they have over 1 million abandoned children in just their capital alone; many are tortured, used in s*x trade, exploited.

Infertility treatments - mother is pregnant with 6 fetuses. Should she be forced to carry all with the likelihood of losing all, or would she be allowed to reduce to 1-3 and have healthy babies?

  3. Abortion should remain legal in US & give examples of how Roe vs. Wade has been being weakened by parental notification; MDs not being trained to do abortions in Medical schools anymore.  Age limitations & husband permission in other states that are making it harder to get abortions...that restrictions are bringing back "back alley " abortions.   That women have to travel hundreds of miles to to get to MD or different state to get safe abortion.

Would protect abortion clinics & staff from being killed.

INCEST & domestic rape makes parental /spousal permission ridiculous.

Much of erosion due to religious ideology:  ignores separation of church & state.  Decision between woman & her MD...no one else.

Conservative Supreme court threatens a woman's individual civil liberties.

    Good luck!!!!
