Question:

What kind of excercise should I do to prepare for Volleyball?

The tryouts are next month, and one of the requirements to make it is to run a mile in 9 minutes or less.

So for that i've been running in the morning.

But what else shoudl I do to help me get prepared?

SOME OF MY HIGH SCHOOL DOES ARE SQUATS( I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, YOU'LL LOVE YOUR LEGS AFTER A COUPLE MONTHS), RUN THE BLEACHERS AT YOUR HIGH SCHOOL'S FOOTBALL FEILD, CURL-UPS, PLY-O'S( BUILDS UP YOUR JUMP), GET A MEDICINE BALL AND GO INTO A CRUNCH POSITION AND MOVE THE BALL ON BOTH YOUR SIDES DO THIS ABOUT FOURTY TIMES.


  2. HEY GIRL!!

    I am a sophmore and i played varsity volleyball and club volleyball for 5 years.  I know what you have to do. Continue to run, that will help you alot. Do alot of quickness drills, cause you need to able to move quick on the volleyball court. Lift wieghts for your shoulders, do core/ab work. such as crunches, planks, what ever. And also squats, and continue to work on the basics.  Make sur eyou are loud and energetic, at tryouts, and also encouaging to others that are trying out. Tell them nice pass, great up.   3. do squats to tone ur legs. practice ur diving and bumps sets and passes :) Good luck :) hope u make the team!
