What kind of fabric should I use?

My cats decided to tear open the fabric on our box spring. I'm looking for a type of fabric I can staple back on there that won't easily be ripped. Any suggestions?

  1. un bleached cotton or canvas should do it and not expensive  


  2. rip-stop nylon

    it has a cross pattern woven into it, so rips dont spread.

    or heavy denim (jeans material)
