much the same. the sprites of pokemon are different(only some). the male and female trainer have more cloths due to climate change. you get giratina in its origin form instead of another form. shaymin can turn into sky form when the glacidia's flower is used. for more info on pokemon platinum, go to the site below

Sinnoh got colder and the legendary pokemon, Shaymin, apparently has alternate forms. I haven't read much; it was only announced a couple of months ago to my memory, so expect more as its release draws nearer.
