What kind of feelings or emotions does a dog or a cat have?

I have always wondered what my cat and dog are feeling, thinking, or what there emotions are. Do they have the same feelings as humans do? I know animals have some emotions but to what extent?

all the same feelings they are just dumber.  Like a baby human has all the emotions but it is way dumber than a grownup so its differernt thast way

Any animal lover will tell you that they have all the same emotions as people and people that don't love animals will tell you the opposite

having owned dogs for years and seen them mourn over the loss of one and had my cats look at me with pure disdain I say they definitely have feelings

Mine think about the meaning of life, and how to cure cancer. I have seen them write E=MC2 several times so I am sure they are also working on Nuclear energy also.

Well , I have 4 dogs and 1 cat..... If you cant tell if theyhave emotions or feelings then .....wellthey do and the older ya'll age togather the easier it will be to determin how they are feeling..That is if you actually spend proper time with them..

They get sad, mad, happy, guilty, and pretty much all of our same emotions.
