What kind of financial aid does community college have?

I was wondering if FASFA would pay for my room and board if I were to move to another state and apply to community college? Becuz I would be renting my own room. And how much they willing to cover for my tuition and everything.. I am very lost about will tehy pay all the cost of my room and board, or they just cover the tuition part?

  1. In general, a community college has the same financial aid programs a 4-year college would have.  Some consideration are that tuition is generally less so your costs are lower.  

    Check with the admissions and financial aid office at the college.  They should provide some guidance.  Search for scholarships on your own - don't just rely on the school.  A good place to start is by reading the free ebook provide online at:  www.StudentScholarshipSearch.com

    You can apply for Stafford Loans - www.StaffordLoan.com - and private college loans - www.collegeloansolutions.com - online or through your school.

    If you can, avoid loans.  Consider working part-time or full time while enrolled.  It may take longer to graduate but you will be much better off.
