  4. Definitely a species of carp, judging by the picture they are either Black or grass carp you can differentiate between the two as they mature.

  7. In New Jersey we call them suckers (honestly) I think they are a variety of creek chub. Anyhow, they are great bait for muskies!!!

  9. it is a creek chub - we used to catch them all the time in western Mass in streams.. and also in Lebanon NH and the CT river in NH/VT

  10. my money is on the chub,but baby grass carp is possible too.I'd say whichever is more prevalent in where you fished it from is probably the one it is.

    Often times grass carp are stocked without being able to breed.Like a spayed or neutered pet heh.
