I have a ten gallon tank with fake plants, real plants and some hiding places... i already have two dojo's and two other bottom feeders, and i just recently lost a betta so i don't want to look into another one. i have a proper filtration and I'm going to get a heater very soon...It's a fresh water tank

  1. i like goldfish they live along time and they are easy to take care of

  2. Absolutely do NOT buy a goldfish. They need MUCH more space then 10g. So thank you for not wanting one. You should definitely buy a heater, one would only cost $15-$20, and you can get waaay cooler fish. Dojo's are supposed to be cold water fish, but they do fine in freshwater, I've had one in a tropical tank for almost a year and it's looking fantastic.

Buy some killifish or neon tetras. Lots of people have Neon and Cardinal Tetras, but I think that they are a little bit boring, simply because EVERYONE has them. You could even get a small school of hatchets or a gourami or two. Look on www.liveaquaria.com for more ideas for fish, its an amazing website for fish and invertebrates and plants all. They also have another site where they sell non-living things like tanks and stands and even stuff for other kinds of pets.
