  1. Yeah it really depends on two things:

What you like and find aesthetically pleasing,

And what size the tank is.

I'll be honest, I'd try to find a store other than Pet Co for your fish needs.

They usually are not well informed about the proper way to care for an aquarium and give bad advice as well as have poorly cared for fish.

I'd try to find a better quality pet store like a privately owned shop.

  2. i have a green spotted puffer fish. (really fun to watch)

  3. how big is it we need to know

    to calculate this do

length times width times height and divide this by 1000

this is how many liters your tank holds

  4. A black molly,

    the classic goldfish,

    angelfish,

    painted glass fish,

    a sucker fish,

    gouramis (really nice fish)

    clown loaches,

    telescope eye goldfish (funny fish)

    and many others...

I hope i gave you good ideas and i hope your aqarium turns out awesome!!!! =D

  5. Goldfish they live long and they are pretty

  6. instead of getting fishes you should get englishes because the plural of fish is fish.

  7. It depends on the size. If it is a smaller tank then you could do a community of fish such as killies, live bearers, and some cories. If it is a 55 you could do a peaceful cichlid tank containing kribensis, rams, and apistos. You could do a pretty angel set up and hope they pair off and spawn. It depends on how much time you have and the tank size. Do not listen to petco advice though, they have a notoriety for giving out terrible directions.

edit: Fishes is correct in certain cases, so please stop hassling someone over it. If you don't believe me google it.

  8. actually, fishes is correct if you're talking about ore than one type of fish, which I believe she is :)

also, I worked at petsmart and the fish there are perfectly healthy. some employees (okay, many employees) have no idea what they're talking about and give horrible advice. so PLEASE do your own research on the fish you plan to get before you buy them so you don't have to trust the people there...

anyway... we really need to know the tank size first. tank size matters a lot. I mean if it's a 50g you can have some nice sized fish, but obviously they can't go in a 10g.
