What kind of fluid does a 95 Chevrolet s-10 manual trans use?

I own a 93 S-10  and it uses ATF type . Dextron in the 5 speed tranny

It uses 90 weight gear lube.  You can put it in yourself if you have the tools and can get far enough under the truck.  However, I recommend that you go to a quick lube and have them top it off.  They have to pull a plug out of the side of the transmission (like a pipe plug) from under the truck and fill it from there.  They just keep putting it in until it starts flowing back out of the hole.  The hole is actually the full mark.

You'll have to read your owner manuel.  GM uses two different trannies. If you do not have owner manuel, call Stealership Monday.

It will tell you to use ATF (yes, automatic transmission fluid) or gear oil.  You do not want to add wrong oil, serious damage will happen.
